The Tucson Songwriting Camp will be held at the Biosphere 2 Conference Center in the Catalina Mountains just north of Tucson. You may recall the famous experiments in the early 1990s when 8 scientists planned to live in the closed environment for two years. The experiment was cut short, but the facility is still used for research and is now owned by the University of Arizona. And the setting is still awe-inspiring.

The weather can vary quite a bit in the mountains in February, but the average highs are around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with nighttime lows around 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

The conference center is approximately one hour north of the Tucson International Airport and two hours south of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

We are hoping to offer a limited shuttle service to and from the Tucson Airport, depending on when flights are arriving/departing.¬† From Phoenix Sky Harbor, you can either rent a car or take the Arizona Shuttle to the Ina location. We are hoping to offer shuttle service to and from the Ina depot, depending on everyone’s schedule.
